Aftercare

Basic aftercare

The first two weeks are the most critical. Make sure to wash your tattoo at least twice a day, I recommend morning and night or before and after work. Make sure to use a completely unscented that is water based not cream based.

Make sure to keep your tattoo moisturized. Only apply a thin layer, the moister your tattoo is the more prone you are to fallout and infection.

Stay out of bodies is water, especially still water. This means avoid jacuzzis, pools, lakes , ponds and the ocean

Second skin

I will most of the time apply second skin after an appointment. Second skin is a bandage that seals and protects your tattoo. It is meant to be left on for 5 days but if it falls off before had don’t panic, if it falls off before day 3 you can come in to the shop and your artist will clean it and apply a new one free of charge. If it falls off after three days that is more than ok and you can start caring for your tattoo. If your second skin is leaking or has been breached at all remove it as it now is just soaking in any bacteria from the air.

When you do remove your second skin do it slowly, do not rip it off like a band aid. I find removing it with warm water is the easiest.
